ALM at DALLAS SSCC

February 2-3, 2008

DALLAS, TX - Two ALM members made it to the SSCC (Southwest Section Circuit Cup) hosted by Lone Star Fencing Center.  Brian Day walked away with his B08 and a silver in the men's epee, however, not to be outdone, Evelyn Scarborough won the foil and took 3rd in both women's epee and women's sabre.

The SSCC hosts 4-5 tournaments a year, with the season's top 3 highest points in each weapon receiving free admission to the next season's tournaments.  The first one was Longhorn (Austin).  Lone Star hosted the second one.  The next SSCC is The Rose (Shreveport) and followed in March by Oz (Oklahoma City).  SSCC is a great way to experience a little higher level of fencing than you would find locally.
