The ALM's only competitor, Layne LeBleu, checked in and took his guard on strip in the cadet men's sabre event.  The field was strong and the pools were all tough, but he went 2-4 in pools until one of the competitors he beat had a medical withdrawal which dropped him to 1-4.  This competition included the dreaded 20% 'cut' after pools and Layne made it well above the line.  He finished 75th for the day and was satisfied with his performance against a very powerful "B" opponent in his direct elimination bout on whom he scored 6 touches.

Layne fences several events at summer nationals, in fact is entered in the most events.  Keep watching for more.
